The fabulous Alex Cavanaugh at Alex J Cavanaugh has given me this awesome award for constantly leaving comments on his blog. (Translation: Lurking at his blog at the crack of dawn) Alex is normally the first blog I visit each morning. His friendly, easygoing, movie-savvy guru attitude has me hooked...or it could just be his cool name. He's a genuinely nice guy. Did I use enough adverbs? Take that editors! Thanks again, Alex. I really appreciate it. You deserve this more than anyone for your dedicated blog-hopping.
Yes, I know it's been a week. I should have passed it on long ago, but I had to admire the award, polish it, stick it under my pillow for a bit.
The way I see it I'm supposed to pass it on to someone who leaves repeated comments on my blog. There are many of you who do that, and I appreciate you all. So I decided to add a twist to this. I'm going to pass on the award to someone I haven't awarded before, who not only comments, but leaves me some creative and hilarious comments. And that person is...
Julie at Gypsy in My Soul.
This lovely, imaginative lady's humor cracks me up. I've found myself cackling on more than one occasion at her expert parries and wity comebacks. At times I feel like if I'm glancing in a mirror...except she's blonde. As an added bonus, she lives in Nebraska, real close to me. Beware, chances are we will run into each other one day.

I went to a graveyard called Borders this weekend and couldn't buy a darn thing because it was too depressing, so I watched these movies instead. Thought I would share.
Kid's big brother picks on him, and it is funnier than hell, really. This is usually not my type of movie.
Woman moves into an apartment. The owner turns out to be a peeping tom pervert. He gets his at the end but it gets hairy.
Also, Blogger has been giving me trouble. I hope this posts like it's supposed too.
That'd be all for today. Enjoy your Wednesday everyone. Funny how I'm not posting on Tuesday and Thursday but it seems like I'm cramming it all in on Wednesday. Huh. ...^-^....

Thank you Laila. I love Alex's blog too, and he is such a nice guy. I was Liebsterized about a week ago, and there is so much going on that I forgot about it! ouch.... I need to figure out what I need to do. Thanks for the mention here and for visiting my blog. Doralynn
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award. Checking out the others.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awards, Laila! You deserve recognition. I dig Alex, too! I'll be on the road for 2 weeks, but I'll try to mosey on over to your friends' blogs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award, Laila. I'm with Doralynn in terms of figuring out what I need to do. Once I met Alex, who is great btw, I've been introduced to a whole world of wonderful people.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! Very cool:)
ReplyDeleteLaila! Thank you so much for the award, I very much appreciate it. You keep giving me wonderful posts, and I will keep spouting nonsensical and deranged commentary. And you're right, Alex does have a cool name. Like he should wear an ascot and tophat and arch one eyebrow a lot.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you owe me a horny werewolf.
ReplyDelete@Doralyn. I know what you mean. Now you have to pass on the Liebster after having been Liebsterized twice. :)
ReplyDelete@E. Thanks. Have fun checking them out. Don't be surprised if they check you out too. :)
@Nancy. Thanks Nancy. Have fun on the road. Going to California sounds cool. If I were you I'd take a break from everything. :)
@Isis. You're welcome. Just pick 5 dudes who have less than 200 followers and pass them on. :) I know it's hard to pick.
@Mark. Thanks Mark. It is kinda cool. Now if I can just figure out how to past my awards on the side of the blog the way everybody else does I'd be in business. :)
@Julie. You're very welcome. I adore your quirky comments. LOL. I will forever picture Alex like that now. Can we give him an eyepatch too? I will send a horny werewolf your way soon. :) Every girl should have one.
Blogger has been messing up for me to in the past week. Really messing with how things format in the posts. Sadly, I can't even see the pictures of the movies you posted.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award, Laila. Suzy says hi!
ReplyDeleteWe heart Jules at 'Gypsy in my soul!'
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on your award, cutie pie. (I'd originally typed out 'cutie pit' ... )
Congrats on another Liebster. You're swimming in them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice words - I aim to amuse! Julie is an excellent choice. She's a riot!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the awards! :)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, congrats on the awards. Makes life fun, eh? Happy Wednesday to ya!
ReplyDeleteI've been informed that some of you are having trouble viewing my movie pictures, eventhough I can see them. @%#^% $#* Blogger. Please fill in your choice of expletive. If this happens on Monday when I'm doing cool Star Trek post, I will go postal.
ReplyDeleteLaila, CONGRATS on the award! Heck, on the awards, plural!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't happen to a nicer gal. Even though she does unleash horny werewolves on the world arbitrarily.
@TS. Yup, Blogger is sucking lately.
ReplyDelete@Eagle. Thank you.
@Valentina. Thanks, and say hi to Suzy.
@Suze. You can call me cutie pit if you want, but I'll come up with an equally offensive petname for you. :D
@LG. I'm running out of people that have less than 200.
@Alex. You're very welcome..you are too cool.
@Bethany. Thank you.
@Carol. Thank you...and Happy Wednesday!
Big smile for everyone....^-^....
I'm so sad about Borders too. I liked it better than Barnes & Noble.
ReplyDeleteThanks for some more fun blogs to check out.
Happy Wednesday, Laila!
xoRobyn
@Bryce. What, you didn't know God handed me the keys to the cage the horny werewolves are kept in? :)
ReplyDelete@Robyn. Thank you. Go have fun and a great Wednesday! :)
Congrats on the award!!!! I know I enjoy your comments as well. Still can't believe you watched human centipede. :)
ReplyDeletecongrats on the award! you have a great blog, and deserve it!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the award. It's well earned, methinks. Your comment about Borders just made me sad. :(
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your awards, Laila! :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for saying AT instead of IN. "He gets his at the end but it gets hairy."
...W-What? I smell like the gutter? Gah! So, ~that's~ where my mind has been!
Congrats on the award! I know about cramming as much as possible into one post since I blog 2 times a week now.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the awards and the classy way you gave them back out!
ReplyDeleteHMG
Congratulations, Laila. Awards are wonderful things. It proves you're doing something right. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and to Julie! She's hilarious and deranged in the nicest way a person could be, LOL!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Wednesday as well.
ReplyDeleteNice movie picks... thx.
What the heck, I'm late. Somehow it is already Thursday, my week is flying by to fast. Thanks for all the links, network connections, movie ideas, etc. You are full of good info today...err yesterday, that is. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour award is well deserved I'm sure. And Blogger is the most fickle of web sites. I always am having issues with it.
ReplyDeleteThis posted just fine.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about 'Borders.' I hear they have books there. Isn't 'Barnes and Noble' in Dire Straits, as well (please note my incredibly clever use of an 80s rock band)?
Damn rock and roll.
I'm going to go read my cereal boxes now.
Congrats on the award, and Roderick Rules =s awesome.
ReplyDelete@Libby. Thanks. Sometimes it's slim pickings on Netflix. :)
ReplyDelete@Tim. Thank you. :)
@Donna. Thanks. I know it made me too sad to buy a book. :)
@Carrie. Thanks. Naughty girl..good for you. :)
@Shelly. I know it...but I'll bet you have more time for other stuff. :)
@Heather. Thank you.
@Joylene. Thanks...I'm just being me. :) If that deserves a reward then give me more.
@Lydia. Thanks. Being deranged is a good quality. :) Makes you unique.
@Jeff. Thank you. :)
@Mike. It's never too late to show up. I'm always chasing time. :)
@Rusty. Thanks. I suppose I can't complain about Blogger...much. :)
@Al. Just don't read the cereal boxes on the toilet. :)
@Kelley. Thanks...it was a funny movie. :)
Yeah--I went to our closing store here last week and almost cried and couldn't buy anything either. It actually hurt. What are they going to do with the books have a good old book burning? Heaven help us! Your photos of the movies stayed blank- so I don't really have any idea what you saw--hope it was nice. :)
ReplyDeleteI felt like I was at a funeral too when I went to the Borders around here before it closed. I did buy something but it was more out of ritual/respect than desire for reading material from the depressing shelves. I still haven't got around to reading it. :/
ReplyDelete@Desert Rock and @Taryn. I'm going to have to use up my giftcards by the end of next week so whether I like it or not I'll have to buy something. I'm really going to miss Borders...plus I found out that the closest Barnes and Nobles to me closed down. I guess I might turn into a strictly Amanzon girl. All we can do is go with the times. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday and congrats on the awards :)
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! I agree - Alex is terrific. Congrats on the award :)
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you Laila. I've been browsing your blog and enjoying what I see here. I'll have to go thank Alex for introducing us - you are definitely a person of interest.
